Volts get 1st sailing podium at N.C. regatta | Sports

Virgin Islands Montessori School and International Academy’s sailing team earned its first-ever podium finish over the weekend at the 2024 Azalea Bowl Regatta in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.

The four-member Volts team – Mariana Brunt and Ellis Wisehart on the A team, and Zia Zucker and Amelie Zucker on the B team – finished third out of 17 teams with 74 points. That put VIMSIA behind regatta winner John T. Hoggard High School of Wilmington, N.C. (38 points) and Great Mills (Md.) High School (66 points).
