We had a beautiful morning wake up at Sidney’s on Jost Van Dyke Island and quick motor over to Diamond Bay. The kids had a scrumptious breakfast of pancakes which is everyone’s favorite! After the breakfast everyone went to land on Jost for a hike to the bubbly pool. It is a quick walk through a path that leads to a natural pool surrounded by beautiful rocks. At the pool, kids love to swim and climb all the rocks. We also played a game in which each boat had to bring a bucket and we ask each crew a question about their captain, if they get it wrong, the captains and mates get to throw the bucket of water over the kids. One of the questions was: What is your captain’s mom’s name which not many boats knew.
After the hike, the boats dropped the mooring ball and started a long sail upwind to Guana Island. This sail is usually pretty rough and the winds are strong. Yet, each crew did a great job getting their sails up and heading to Guana in the knick of time! Once at White Bay on Guana, the campers immediately started swimming in the clear blue water, had some time to chill and hang out, and went tubing. Then, it was time for a nice dinner of burrito bowls and a concert by one of our mates Joey Voss under the stars!
