It was another bright morning at Sail Caribbean. We woke up and made some yummy bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. Then we said bye to the divers for the morning. Open water divers continued working on their certification and advanced open water divers got certified after they finished their shipwreck dive!
The rest of the non divers all sailed over to Salt island either on Jelliblu or a Colgate. Once we anchored at salt island, we had a nice lunch of sandwiches and grilled cheese. Then it was swim, snorkel and water-sport time. Some people even stood up on a wake board for the first time!
After that, showers began so that chili cookoff could get started. Chili cook off happens once every program and each boat needs to make a large pot of chili and have a theme. Then, the judges (those that live on the staff boat) come around and judge the chili and the themes. Lots of chili was made and Jelliblu did a home alone theme. The boat was set with booby traps for the unknowing guests. After all that chili, a big boat clean was necessary. All the chili crumbs were swept up and the boat was sparkly again.
It was a quiet evening after a quick boat meeting to reflect on all the fun moments of the day. We did some star gazing before the late night rain clouds rolled in to watch the meteor shower happening. So many shooting stars were spotted and with that the Sail Caribbean fleet fell asleep in preparation for another great day tomorrow.
