Today, Mega fleet had a late wake-up of 8 AM! We were happy to yet again wake up to the beautiful water at Little Harbor. We had a delicious breakfast of French toast and bacon, courtesy of Apres Sail’s working stove.

After breakfast, the Sierra kids went to Mile Hi for a seagrass lesson where they learned about different types of seagrass species and collected data for the population in Little Harbor. The rescue divers had an early morning trip to Cooper Island to start honing their skills of the rescue diver.

The rest of the fleet swam and snorkeled looking for turtles and at various fish. Many people participated in water sports! The students on Tonga had so much fun doing tubing and wakeboarding. Some students also went on the Little Harbour Hike! They were pleasantly surprised to find goats.

After the various activities, the boat started planning for cake-a-palooza! Tonga chose the creative theme of “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” cake! The groups had a fantastic time throwing cake and various food, including grapes and spaghetti at the staff boat judges!

After the judges left we had a quick Billie Eilish dance party with Apres Sail. We then showered and started dinner prep. The group was excited to make burrito bowls! After eating our delicious meal, we did a quick boat meeting and had our first power-up of the program which included yet another dance party 🙂

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
