We had an exciting day at Sail Caribbean! Our day started at Nanny Cay, where we celebrated a boat birthday with a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs. We showered her with gifts, including a hat, t-shirt, bracelet, and some Frito chips! After breakfast, we quickly performed our PDCs (pre-departure checks) and formed our de-docking plan! Today we are sailing to Great Harbor on Peter Island!

Due to the rainy weather, we couldn’t raise our main sail, so we motor jibbed to Great Harbor. We all had so much fun with the light rain and played some riddle and group games on our way over! Ivy loved leading us in a game of Wavelength, and it was so fun!

Our divers had an incredible experience, spotting two turtles! Our students today finished up their deep water specialties and began their wreck diving specialty. They said that the Rhone was their favorite dive site yet! Meanwhile, the rest of the crew took the opportunity to study for their ASA certifications and catch up on some well-deserved rest.

Dinner was a hit with teriyaki chicken and vegetable rice, and the day ended on a high note with a wonderful boat meeting where we all showed our birthday girl plenty of love and support for her special day!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
