The award-wining Hanse 510 will headline Windcraft Yacht’s impressive line-up of yachts at next month’s Pittwater Sailing Yacht Show.
Windcraft will also display the latest models from its other well-known European marques Dehler, Moody and Solaris in what’s aimed at being a much more relaxed and enjoyable viewing experience than a typical major boat show that inevitably involves crowds, queues and parking hassles.
The event will be the first chance for those who have been following the overseas release of Hanse’s big volume luxury family cruiser last October to see for themselves just why the design from French naval architects Berrett-Racoupeau has been attracting praise and accolades from the international boating press including being named winner of SAIL magazine’s coveted Top 10 Best Boats 2024.
At the heart of the 510’s design is creating as much volume as possible for accommodation and relaxation spaces, and improving sailing characteristics, particularly in light airs. The Hanse 510 on display at the show with its distinctive grey hull will be a highly specc’d three cabin version with a huge Owners cabin in the bow with separate heads and shower compartments and two extremely roomy guest cabins aft.
Stand-out features of the 510 which should earn high marks from show attendees are the very cool systems console in the saloon that manages critical boat functions and entertainment systems plus the huge tender garage capable of easily housing storing a 2.7-metre RIB or dinghy.
Dehler yachts meld the best aspects of performance sailing and the cruising lifestyle and the Dehler 46 combines svelte looks with a modern and luxurious interior providing a full range of cruising amenities and liveaboard comforts.
The Dehler 46 is offered in two or three cabin versions with the model available for viewing a three-cabin model featuring a master suite in the bow with a centerline island berth and ensuite head with shower compartment. A roomy guest cabin is to starboard just aft of the L-shaped galley. The port aft cabin can be either a double or a single with extra room for handy storage, and a great option for extended cruising.
THREE VENUES; THREE DAYS
Held from 10am to 4pm over three days Friday 5th April to Sunday 7th April, the show is a new local sailing industry initiative and will encompass three venues: Bayview Anchorage (the Sydney HQ of Windcraft Yachts), Gibson Marina, and the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club, all within a one-kilometre radius on Sydney’s Pittwater.
Visitors to the show can either park at one of the venues or park at Rowland Reserve in Bayview. There will be two minibuses on a continuous loop, stopping at three locations, RPAYC, Rowland Reserve, and Gibson Marina so you can easily move between venues.
In addition to our Hanse 510, Dehler 46, Solaris 47 and Hanse 348 and 388, a range of other sailing brands including Jeanneau, Beneteau, Grand Soleil, X Yachts, Bavaria and Elan will be available for viewing.
