Greetings from beautiful Saba island. We are currently all moored at the remote Ladder Bay, and the only light we can see besides our boats is the full moon in the sky! It is pristine, untouched and gorgeous here. Crews have only heard about how amazing Saba is from our counselors, and we are excited to finally bring them here so they can see it for themselves.
Since we have been so busy, we weren’t able to upload an update yesterday, but such is life. Now is time to catch you up! Yesterday morning, we left St. Kitts and went straight for St. Eustatius, another wonderful island here in the West Indies. Statia, as we call it, is known for its Dutch buildings, structures, and culture, and we got to explore more forts as well as play some camp games. We played Where The Wind Goes, Birdie On A Perch, and other fun games with the time we had ashore. We wandered beaches, stopped in shops, purchased some Ting juice, Statia stickers for our water bottles, and collected sand dollars from the water. We also did lots of snorkeling around our boats, and students got to practice their free diving skills.
Now, here we are, cleaning up dinner and having our nightly boat meeting, reminiscing on our time down island, and talking about what we are excited for soon, including going on a dive here in Saba and seeing the towns as well. Stay tuned!
